What a GREAT song and message! I hope you guys like it. I had to drop the song a whole key and must have sang it 4 times to get a decent take. The hard part about that...and any video I do is that you want to go back and paste in the best phrases from each take cause I'm an engineer......and since I'm a perfectionist it's hard not to. I never was one of those.."One take wonders" ya know.... For me Art comes in waves...and you just take what you get in that moment or time.....mix it together and that's the performance. Recordings always seems to turn out best that way for me anyway. For those people out there wondering what I use to record. There's not as much money in what i use as you'd think. I use an AKG 3000B mic ($350.00) that goes into a Prosonus blue tube preamp ($150.00)...right into my sound blaster sound card...and from there into the software. Cakewalk pro audio 9. (probably FREE) It's like 10 years old and people laugh when they hear that...but I've used pro tools and cubase etc etc etc and there just something to be said about a system that is easy to use and WORKS. Lol.... It just has to work and sound good is what I say. It's my plug ins that I swear by,.. the Waves Mercury bundle...I LOVE the Renaissance Compressor in that bundle for vocals..it really makes my voice warm and full sounding...then.....along with the L2 Limiter.....to make the mixes slam. anyway...there it is! a LONG description...but I hope you guys are well...and life is treating you well ...
